Aime is a lovely bustling little market in town on the sunny side of the valley opposite La Plagne between Moûtiers and Bourg-St-Maurice. La Plagne is the nearest ski resort to Aime and has more than 120 runs catering for all levels of ability. It is also linked to the popular resort of les Arcs by the Vanoise Express cable car, so both resorts are within a few minutes of each other. All the villages in La Plagne have good access to one another and contain many other activities aside from skiing and snowboarding. Aime is a very popular destination in the summer months particularly with cyclists and hikers, plus it is close to the Vanoise National Park. This means that it is busy tourist destination all year round.
The closest international airports are at Lyon, Grenoble and Geneva, with Chambéry an option during the alpine season. Eurostar offers a direct train service to Aime, Bourg-St-Maurice and Moûtiers. There are good road links to all the villages in the area.
