This is a charming, 2 bedroom south-facing ground floor apartment…
This is a large, stone-built renovated village house located in a sunny, south-facing village above Aime. It has lovely views over La Plagne and Les Arcs.
The main house has 4 bedrooms over 2 floors and is approximately 170m² with an open plan fitted kitchen and dining area of 60 m² with access to its own terrace that overlooks the garden. A breakfast bar divides the kitchen from the living area that has doors out to a narrow balcony. Above the living area is a 35m² mezzanine floor that is used as a relaxation area with large windows that offer a lovely view of the mountains.
Off the hallway next to the kitchen is a double bedroom.
The staircase in the entrance hall leads to the lower level where there are 3 double bedrooms, a laundry/utility room, a large bathroom and a separate WC.
The smaller 3 bedroom apartment is a duplex with around 110 m² of living space.
It has an attractive entrance hall with original stonework and vaulted ceilings – character features that appear throughout the apartment. The hallway leads into the kitchen/dining area as well as two further rooms that are currently used as a living room and a double bedroom.
A delightful stone staircase leads up to the first floor where there are 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate WC.
The apartment opens onto a lovely South facing terrace area.
There is also a smaller 2 bedroom apartment of around 70 m² that could easily become part of one or other of the existing properties. It has an open kitchen, a living/dining area with access to the balcony, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate WC.
The property also has various cellars and outbuildings and a small garden area.
Valezan is a picturesque mountain village in the Savoie region of France and is just a 20 – minute drive from Bourg St Maurice and Paradiski. It has good access to the slopes and has a less hectic ski environment than its popular neighbours, les Arcs and La Plagne, but it is close enough to offer full access to these if desired. It also has its own bar/restaurant. It is close to another small village, called Granier, which has its own ski area with a lift, a couple of pistes and a buvette for light refreshments. There are lots of other activities to enjoy in the area other than skiing, including hiking, mountain biking, walking, paragliding and lots more.
There are good bus links from Lyon, Grenoble and Geneva airports, which are all about two hours away, with the seasonal airport at Chambéry within an hour’s drive. The nearest TGV station is in Bourg St Maurice and the N90 provides good access by road.
