The village is a lovely place for families and has many cosy bars and restaurants in which to enjoy the traditional Savoie cuisine. There are also an excellent variety of small shops that are open in the winter/summer season with shops open all year long in Bozel (5km).
The international airports at Lyon, Grenoble and Geneva are a little over a 2-hour drive from the village, with the seasonal airport at Chambéry an hour away. The TGV station is 15-20 minutes away in Moûtiers and there is good access to the motorway network.
